Captain Brian Vaughn is a United States Coast Guard licensed captain and owner

and operator of  Off  The Hook Charters Inc. located in Hilton Head Island, SC.

with over 25 years local charter fishing experience guiding inshore, offshore. light

tackle and fly fishing charters for all skill levels.

As a Island native and a full time fishing guide, Vaughn has been fishing the waters

that surround Hilton Head Island his entire life. From a very early age he was taught fishing techniques and learned valuable skills from some of the finest fishing guides in

the business. His vast knowledge of  saltwater fishing  ranges up & down the east

coast of the U.S. and as far as the pristine waters of Costa Rica were most of his

winters have been spent.

Captain Vaughn is a true waterman who spends over 300 days a year on the water

guiding fishing charters with clients or fishing for fun with friends and family some

how a fishing rod finds his hand everyday! Whether you want to fish the flats for

redfish or the backwater sounds for monster tarpon, cobia and many other species.

An artist as well as a fisherman, with a bachelors degree in fine art from the

University of South Carolina. Vaughn specializes in the ancient art form of Gyotaku

(Japanese for fish print) where a real fish is caught and inked, then rubbed with rice

paper leaving a detailed image of itself. It's a great option for his clients to have

there catch made into a unique piece of art to preserve there fishing memories.
