  • Q: Where do we depart from?
  • A: We Have 2 locations. If you are fishing with Captain Brian or Captain Alex you will depart from The Cross Island Boat Landing Click Here for Directions. If you are fishing with Captain Matt you will depart from The C.C. Haigh Jr. Boat Landing Click Here For Directions.
  • Q: Are the Charter Rates per person? 
  • A: Charter rates are for the boat not per person. Rates are for up to a max of 4 passengers per boat.  Parties of 5 are acceptable if total weight is under 800lbs. $75 additional Fee for the 5th person
  • Q: What is your Cancelation Policy?
  • A: We have a 48 hour Cancelation Policy and you will be charged in full during that window unless we cancel the trip due to severe weather conditions. If for some reason you need to cancel your charter please try to give us at least a weeks notice so we can fill your spot with another party.
  • Q: Can we keep the fish that we catch?
  • A: Yes you are more than welcome to keep your catch as long as the fish are within the states legal  limits. We will be glad to clean the fish for you to take home or can recommend a local restaurant that can cook it for you. To see South Carolina saltwater fishing limits page. Click Here
  • Q:  Is your charter kid friendly? Are kids allowed on the boat?
  • A:  Kids are more than welcome to fish with Off The Hook Fishing Charters. We are very patient with kids of all ages. To us there is nothing better than guiding a kid on their first fish or biggest fish of their lives and creating a lasting memory!
  • Q: How many people can fish or can you take?
  • A: Off The Hook Fishing Charters boats can accommodate up to 4 passengers on each boat. If you happen to have a larger family or group of more than 4 passengers both boats can be booked and can accommodate a max total of  8 passengers. This a great option for larger families, corporate groups, wedding parties etc..
  • Q: What should I / We bring on the boat with us?
  • A: Bring anything you would like drink and eat and we will store it in our cooler on the boat. Space is limited so if you do bring a cooler make sure it is small. Be sure to dress accordingly to the current weather conditions. You may also want to bring a hat, camera, sunglasses and lotion sunblock. 
  • What not to bring please is SPAY SUNBLOCK ! Spray sunblock is very harmful to the boats upholstery, fishing gear and finish on the boat.
  • Q: Can I / We bring alcohol / beer on board?
  • A: Yes you are welcome to bring beer on board.  Aluminum cans only NO glass beer / liquor bottles please.
  • Q: Can I Smoke Cigarettes or a Cigar on board?
  • A: Sorry No Smoking is Allowed on board any of our boats.
  • Q: Is there a bathroom on the boat?
  • A: Sorry there is not a bathroom on our boats. If  you or someone really needs to go there are a number of marinas nearby that will let you use their facilities. ( Clients can go over the side of the boat or in a bucket as well )
  • Q: Do I / We need a South Carolina fishing license?
  • A: No, you do not need a South Carolina fishing license. We have a charter vessel fishing license that covers all anglers on our boats.
  • Q:  Do I / We need to have any fishing experience?
  • A:  No, all skill levels from kids, beginners to experts are welcome to fish with Off The Hook Fishing Charters. We strive to make every trip a safe, productive and memorable experience for all levels of experience. 
  • Q: What time of day do you start fishing?
  • A: A typical half day 4hr trip will usually start at 7am or 11am. We always try to schedule trips according to the most productive time of day and tide for fishing. Weather, tides, time of year are and species of fish to target are all factors when booking trips but we can always find a way to schedule what works best for you.
  • Q: What happens if it rains or the weather is bad the day of our fishing trip?
  • A:  If for some reason the weather  is bad the day of your charter we will do our best to reschedule your trip later in the day or week to get you out.
